I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Addictions Counselor, offering therapy and consulting services.  My office is located in Lakewood, Colorado.  I love my work and I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you are able to explore your core beliefs, ways of thinking, perceptions, and patterns of tension in your body. Trauma, abuse, neglect, and other wounding contribute to how we form our relationship with the world and with ourselves.

I have over thirty years of experience working with individuals, children, youth and families.   Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work in behavioral health facilities, day treatment centers, secure residential facilities and community programs.  I have consulted nationally with corporations, schools and governmental agencies.  My consultation services have been in the areas of leadership development, program development and measures of accountability.  I have presented at various national conferences and have developed educational workshops.  For the past fifteen years, I have been an affiliate instructor within the Social Work Department for Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado.  In 2014, I received the prestigious award of Affiliate Faculty Member of the Year.

I have extensive training and experience in individual therapy, group counseling, family therapy and coaching, trauma informed interventions, substance abuse disorders and treatment, and women’s issues.

What this means for you, is that I use a holistic approach to support you...mind, body, emotions and spirit.  I have two great passions in this work.  One is supporting women to unfold their unique voice, purpose and meaning in their life.  Transition times such as motherhood, empty nest, career changes, and relationship disruption can often launch us uncomfortably into new places.  These times also offer great opportunities for personal growth and fulfillment.  My second passion is working with children, teens and families.  This unique growing time of the brain lends itself to the ability to make positive changes and anchor a strong sense of self for a child and teen.  I work eclectically finding the right approach for my clients that supports trust and growth.  I have found from experience that they do respond well to active, authentic, and respectful relating, direct feedback, and advice.
